The campaign for Logitech by Designstudio highlights the trend of geometric type.
The Helvetica typeface is one of the most popular in the world. The typeface is literally everywhere. Even if you have never heard of it, it is very likely that some manifestation has been in front of you sometime today: on your computer screen, billboards, street signs or a building. Just as the use of Helvetica happens in cycles, the name itself was not called Helvetica until four years after its release.
While we celebrated 60 years of Helvetica in 2017, design trends in 2018 lean towards geometric sans serifs allowing designers to think differently.
"Google fonts and the ability it gives designers to easily incorporate digital fonts into web pages is one of the reasons ... bringing typographic consistency into branded collateral across all channels. Geometric sans serif fonts also have the ability to be relatively ageless ...
"There is a bold clarity and honesty to such fonts that have now been used by many large corporations to communicate the simplicity and openness that their brand ... requires."
